You know what to do here.
I feel bad for the Greek after Sokratis Papastathopoulos got sent off for two undeserved yellows, but the equalizer a few minutes ago is letting me root for Polska once again.

Yeah, the red card was harsh, and then Szczęsny shows us the talent he is with a red card . At least now Tytoń stopped Karagounis' penalty. Still, last few minutes have been hard to watch, for me that is!

So exciting match! All these shouts in my housing estate when Levandowski scored the goal... And Tyton definitely is our new hero. I was shocked by the situation with Szczesny, as he was one of the pillars of the team...

Denmark 1 - Holland 0. Certainly didn't predict that result. Have to give it to the Danes. They took their chance and then produced a solid defensive display. Denmark seemed to play better as the match progressed, and Holland couldn't break them down. Agger and Kjaer were quite impressive. Germany and Portugal the next match in Group B.

Anyone else notice the one commenter during the Germany/Portugal match could not say "L'viv" to save his life? He attempted at least twenty times and came close only twice. And it wasn't a question of the stereotypical Englishman not being able to say non-English words because he went out of his way to pronounce "Coentrao" with a proper Portuguese accent.
That game alone made up for the loss of my beloved Dutch team. Also seeing Ronaldo shut down yet again in international competition. I was also pleasantly surprised to see him and Pepe not doing any diving.

Andriy Shevchenko, at 35 years old, scored a brace of goals to win for Ukraine in what is arguably the most exciting match of the tournament, so far. Ibrahimovic managed to go a game (and score a goal!) without biting someone's head off. This match made up for the mediocre soccer we've seen so far.

Czech Republic 2 Greece 1. 10 minutes in and Czechs were up 2 nil. Greek defence was re-organized due to suspensions and injuries, and initially was really shaky. I didn't know Katsouranis was able to play central defence :-). Chalkias substituted for Sifakis early, and he did well. Fotakis had a goal called for offside, though he looked to be level. Gekas scored for Greece, thanks in large part to Cech's mistake. Still, after bringing on Mitroglou, the Greeks couldn't break down the Czechs. Poland 1 Russia 1. There was as much 'action' outside of the stadium as inside . Always going to be a tense match, Poland especially was feeling the pressure early on. Arshavin started really well, and his free kick lead to Alen Dzagoev heading in for the opening goal. Second half was more animated, Poland pulled back an equaliser through a well struck Błaszczykowski shot. Both sides were going for the win, though it seemed that either team was not willing to take too many risks. All teams in Group A need a win in their next matches as they all have a mathematical chance of advancing. Should be interesting.

Will be incredibly interesting if hell freezes over and they end up meeting each other in the final.

Danmark 2 - 3 Portugal. So the Danes lost a close, and hard fought match. It'll be tough, but if they can get a result against Germany they could make it to the knock-out rounds.
