A song that our youngest found and that he loves "I'm a Gummy Bear"

He's also found in on YouTube in French, German and I'm not sure what the other languages are.

Then again, for a while his favourite song was one in (I think) Romanian "Numa Numa"

He has eccentric tastes.. but that's normal for around here.

A beautiful Ethiopian Mezmur played on the Begena. This is the same type of harp that King David played.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tO3ljDzpmM&feature=player_embedded

Here is the translation:

Though people provoke and gossip about me
You solve my troubles and lead me in righteousness
---
You words never change, they are eternal
You are Alpha and Omega
May your mercy and love always be with me
---
It happens according to Your will, not theirs
When I call you my Lord, You listen to me
And my dreams come true
---
My efforts are never forgotten by You
By the fullness of Your mercy, my name is now changed
Let me stand to praise Your name.
---
O Creator of all, thank you my Lord
You give me what I wish and what I need
And a new story is written by Your hand
So I kneel down for You in all times
---
When people provoked me and I felt empty
When stress and trials came to me
You called me “my child” and saved me
---
People look at appearances, but You see the heart
And You judge my heart, not my clothes
With Your good will I now become as such as You please
Truly, for those who knock the door, it shall be opened
---
For those who ask of You, You always respond
You reach for me early and continually
Thank you forever and ever
For me, no one is like You, Holy Savior
---
I have no reply except to thank you
And I call Your name and praise You when I sleep and when I stand
Because of You, I have passed through harsh times
---
You have preserved my flesh and strengthened my soul
And now let me repay Your gift with a true service of love
By saying Holy, Holy, Holy like the angels.
---
Anyone who asks by lifting up his hands
With a pure heart in front of Your Church
Anyone who is not far from Your home with a true prayer
Will see that Your gift is real, and that Your mercy never ends.

the sond is translated us: Begg for us Mariam(St. Marry)
for you are the crown of  the innocent and the light of  the saints(blessed)

Serj Tankian - Imperfect Harmonies

I got this today and I must say that I'm a little disappointed. I guess one should always keep in mind that Tankian never seems to do what people expect but I still was looking something more guitar-oriented like his previous album. But this is filled with classical instruments and weirdo electronic sounds. Huh

I've been revisting musicals lately, and this song is from Romeo et Juliette, which was big in France a few years ago. They even made these music videos (that do not look anything like the stage show) for the biggest songs.

Please tell me you listen to real "musicals" (I hate that term, they are opera).

L.O.L. I used to act and I was into musicals musicals. Like, that cheesy stuff that you see in those theaters around Times Square (well, not all of it, but a lot of it)? Thoroughly Modern Millie, Godspell, A Chorus Line, Anything Goes....etc. etc. etc.

I tried to love opera, since it always looks very sophisticated for an actress to do so. But it's like soccer: I love singing pieces but I don't have too much of a taste for listening or watching it. I would never turn down tickets to see the opera, but I haven't been attracted enough by one, to be honest. There, I said it. (I never told this to my other actor friends, though Wink ).
