I like it!

well i do not the style is strange to me!

So?

its a non traditional style! i prefer to venerate Orthodox Icons

"Orthodox" westernised icons with chubby angels?

Btw, I think that I (or maybe other forum member) had already postes these two icons in the "strange icons" section, I think they're of Polish or Ukrainian origin.

The iconographer is from Ukraine.
Happy shall he be, that shall take and dash thy little ones against the rock. Alleluia.

Once Christ has filled the Cross, it can never be empty again.

Most Holy Theotokos, save us! :)
Christ my God, set my heart on fire with love in You, that in its flame I may love You with all my heart, with all my mind, and with all my soul and with all my strength, and my neighbor as myself, so that by keeping Your commandments I may glorify You the Giver of every good and perfect gift. Amen.

The Crucifixion, and many Saints.

Moldovan Old Believer icon of St. Nicholas

Such an emotional icon of St. John the Baptist. Makes me want to cry.

“God,”
The words rumbled:
“There is much suffering,
But the church is alive. "

“How long, Archpriest, are we to suffer thus?” I answered: “Until our very death, Markovna!” And she replied, with a sigh: “So be it, Petrovich, let us plod on.” - Life of Avvakum by Himself

What counts as a folk icon?

It's done by one of the real people, you know?
Mencius said, “Instruction makes use of many techniques. When I do not deign to instruct someone, that too is a form of instruction.”

What counts as a folk icon?

Icons not painted by professional iconographers, and are not according to iconographical conventions or canons.

Examples:

Usually painted by villagers, not in workshops.
