The "I need help deciphering orthonorm's post" thread.
« on: May 27, 2012, 12:12:56 AM »
Welcome (to Gabriel's favorite thread).

Now before we put the compre into hensible, our motto:

Because you are incoherent.
One word for Ecce: irony. Or better yet, hirony.

Perhaps we can sort ethos and utilitarian without drawing a litterer at gunpoint.

We can try to help each other parsing the mandorla of verbiage.

No ain'ts allowed folks.

All these people with their hearts elsewhere, maybe where they had a pen pal in the fourth grade, make me sick.

God Bless Achronos and all others for standing up for the Heimat. The Vaterland at whose breast we suck.

These colors don't run.

All you with hearts divided will answer to Toby Keith for your impiousness.

Amen!

Gabriel and I have come to a rapprochement or better, so please try not to fuel any embers which I hope no longer remain.

And those who understand will and those who won't won't.

Did you get your dose of paternal attention?

I have come to the only logical conclusion there is to have about Orthonorm. He is in truth a simple and hereto unknown Henad, whose unity is obscured by the prism of materiality. Only by apophatically purging your mind of unfitting notions of this world and the practice of certain theurgical rituals can one begin the spiritual ascent of his soul up the chain of causation to the pre-intellectual unity of all things Orthonormian and through that to the pre-intellectual unity of the One itself.

For the low, low one-time price of $5000.00, I can teach you, Achronos, the theurgical and ascetic practices required in order to allow your soul to come to transcend its fascination with the material and make its ascent to henosis with the One through Orthonorm. I guarantee that after you acquire this knowledge, you will have all that is necessary to come to understand Orthonorm's posts, and moreover, the purpose of your existence.

Gabriel and I have come to a rapprochement or better, so please try not to fuel any embers which I hope no longer remain.

We're not ready to tool around town on a two-seater bicycle yet, but it's true.  No embers, just a happy glow.  By nature, I'm pretty laid back, but I also have a ferocious hothead/temper.  I say a lot of things "in the moment" that I usually end up regretting.  I apologize to Achronos for the image I posted above.  Pray for me...

Achronos, rule 1 of Orthonorm is that he is playing the internetz for realz and we are all just pieces to the game.

The second rule is that you do not talk about fight club.

The most hilarious part about that isn't what you wrote. But that orthonorm makes soap for a living.

If you didn't know that and wrote that out of sheer coincedence I may laugh harder.

And yes, I did know that orthonorm makes cleaning agents. No, that was not on my mind when I typed my response, so coincidence does indeed reign.

That is only what you think to be an image of Orthonorm, which you have altered. Your inability to transcend your inherent materialism is preventing your soul from achieving henosis. Allow me to supply a more suitable didactic image of Orthonorm for the purpose at hand:

When you have finished contemplating this image, I will supply another image as a corrective to this image, if you cannot figure out on your own why this image, while vastly superior to the one you posted, is still flawed and in need of correction.

orthonorm does not play dice with the forum; he plays an ineffable game of his own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of any of the other players, to being involved in an obscure and complex version of poker in a pitch dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time.

It was adapted from Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's Good Omens. I'd love to have the sort of talent to pull off an apocalyptic farce as well as they did, but I've yet to attain it unfortunately.

Now time for the orthonorm exploding brain gif

That is only what you think to be an image of Orthonorm, which you have altered. Your inability to transcend your inherent materialism is preventing your soul from achieving henosis. Allow me to supply a more suitable didactic image of Orthonorm for the purpose at hand:

When you have finished contemplating this image, I will supply another image as a corrective to this image, if you cannot figure out on your own why this image, while vastly superior to the one you posted, is still flawed and in need of correction.
Keep in mind that it is merely an analogy...

Ah, another fine didactic image of Orthonorm, one which I find corrects many of the faults found in my provided image.
Be comforted, and have faith, O Israel, for your God is infinitely simple and one, composed of no parts.

Chuck orthonorm. We don't need The Great Almighty Patriarchal Germanic Philosophical God From Cincy Natty. That God Is dead, puppy dogs - WE ARE THE GODS!
