Memory Eternal.

I used to see him in a TV debate about reunification of Russian Church a year ago. He made quite an impression to me, thought he spoke less than other clergy.

May his memory be eternal.

It is nice to see that there is a place where his memory might be remembered in a positive light.. other places.. just sad the responses one sees to the death of a hierarch.. regardless of whether they agree with him or not...

Memory eternal.

I saw this yesterday after church and couldn't believe it...

Thankfully, the priests leading the Sunday of Orthodoxy vespers last night let the rest of the congregation know, and we chanted a "memory eternal" for him.

The beautiful face of Vladyka Laurus as he, like a humble monk, read the Great Canon of Saint Andrew at Jordanville Monastery last week.

At Jordanville on Friday.  The MP will send a Bp as a rep.  Need to know more?  I can look up more later today.

Which friday...this upcoming one?  Did I miss it?  I probably won't be able to go...

Honestly, i'd love to know which of the who's-who of orthodoxy will be there.  Just to see.

But I would have liked to have gone, but that will be impossible.  That was more of why I was asking.

thanks though!

Yes, the funeral and burial are this Friday.
