The first Candlemass album. Not my favorite doom, but still, sounding better than it has in a while.  :)

"Denim and Leather," Saxon.  :)  The iTunes Classic U.K. Metal station is quite good, but it runs ads, so you'll hear things like this: a song about death, followed up by a cheery ad for 20% off shirts and linens at the local mall.  :D

Listening to the new Opeth album, Pale Communion. So far I'm liking it a lot more than Heritage.

Incubus - Serpent Temptation (Original 1988 Recording)

Truly one of the greatest Death Metal recordings of the 80's. Far more brutal than Kreator or Sepultura, but this particular release was buried in time and remains unknown. Also a strange band in that the album is a mix of Christian lyrical themes and Satanic sorts of themes (possession) and some profanity scattered throughout, but overall has a great vibe. The band eventually rerecorded the vocals, changed the lyrics, and rerecorded the guitar, which had the effect of taming the whole album. The original is just outstanding. Listening to my old vinyl of it now.

One hides amid pornography, angry music, television that shows the worst of mankind, misanthropic politics, an internet populace led by all the passions: and then one asks, "Where is God?"

Ever pentacostal I talk to essentially see 90% of secular music evil and they listen all to "christian"music with their stupifying hypnotic rhythms!! its good to see everyone listens to such a diverse range of music. Also just curious does anyone listen to christian music?

haha, the only thing my wife and I listen to is english, greek, and slavonic chant. Right now we listen to Fr. Apostolos, St. Tikhon seminary choir, St. vladimir seminary Choir, Holy Cross Seminary Choir, various Eikona albums, archangel voices-pascha, rumanian chant, boston byzantine choir, monks of valaam monastery, st. john of san francisco music choir, the nuns of st. paisius monastery, st. lawrence orthodox choir, and some of the capella romana. I know.. we're boring...
