Jerry Falwell was found unconscious in his office late this morning and died minutes later. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18679412/?GT1=9951May God have mercy on him.

We just learned about him in AP history. I can't say I cared much for his extreme evangelism and radical racism.
May God have mercy on him and forgive his sins.

At least he helped get St Ronald of California elected But I didn't care for him much either.

I'm glad for Falwell that he now has the peace in death (ie. non-existence) that he never got in life. I wish his family and friends well.

Yes, Justin, we know you're there, we know you think there is no God and that death is annihilation of the personality.......Now, you're just getting boring. But tell me, how can anyone "have" peace in death if they don't exist any more?...On second thought, never mind.

Crucifier, I hope you did not mean it? I never liked what Jerry Falwell did, but he died, so, no matter what we think of him, I thought we should just ask God to forgive his sins and to create for him Memory Eternal, not rejoice with champagne...

I didn't agree with Falwell, but may his memory be eternal. I hate to go off topic, but can anyone point me in the direction of Orthodox viewpoints on Zionism? Perhaps, if people think it's fruitful, I can start a thread if one has not yet been started?
