ugh.

Greg Oden. Why do you make me want to root for the Heat now?
One former Blazer I hope does well anywhere. That guy has been through so much hell with his knees the last few years.

The Heat lost to a team of elderly Celtics players wearing black uniforms who play in Brooklyn and call themselves the "Nets."

I watched a replay of the game. I was up because I was sick. Was it me or did that game have about eleventy billion pauses before the end?

Reasons why the raptors lost:
1: Rudy Gay: In his 32:10 of game time, he went 6-23, a staggering 26.09%, and 0-3 for 3's.

Also please, if you cant make 3's stop trying, or at least, try less often

Real quick, the last game they played was the worst I've ever seen.

The goalie fighting was embarrassing for the entire league and people cheering it on.

Its disgusting and the entire sport is really stupid.

Sorry but the fans really killed it for me.

If you think it's really stupid, why waste your time watching?  Are you that bored??

Yes, the incident with the goalies was appalling, and Emery should be arrested for assault.  And the official should be fired.  Bad and stupid things happen in all sports in which humans participate.  If you don't like it, don't watch it.  Simple, eh? :-*

Mascots are big deals for American sports teams. The Philly Phanatic, the Duke Blue Devil , the Pittsburgh Pirate's Pierogie and my alma mater's fruit - Otto the Orange (Syracuse University) come to mind off the top of my head.
Do you all have a favorite? And - how about thinking up one for oc.net?

^ I could not get the game on T. V. but checked the score on the Internet from time to time.  The score made it look pretty ugly.
Well, the Ducks made a valiant effort at the end, but it was too little and too late. For the first three quarters the Cardinal kicked our butts with their old school smash mouth game. So many times we knew Gaffney was going to run the ball right up the middle and would stack the box to close off his inside running lanes yet still couldn't stop him. And how many times did Kevin Hogan run for just enough yardage to convert on a 3rd-and-long? On one of those plays we had him stopped inside his own 10-yd line, yet we couldn't wrap him up and tackle him.

Grumble grumble snort snort! >:( My Ducks got their tails shot off by that damn Stanford Cardinal!

They made a game of it at the end. I was pulling for your Ducks. I'd rather face y'all than FSU. But we still have LSU and Auburn in our way.

Yes, they did  :'( >:( :'(.  Totally out-matched.  And what with Baylor beating the Okies....makes the championship race a little more interesting, eh?  Now, if only LSU would beat Alabama (sorry Gebre!)!!!

Heck, I'm rooting for Alabama and FSU if only because I don't want the Suckeyes to play in the BCS title game.
